It's that time again...Flu Season. We have provided a web link for your information, from OSHA, on how to
reduce the spread of the flu in the workplace. Information on precautions, such as frequent hand washings,
covering coughs and sneezes as well as following infection control practices and using your PPEs to reduce
exposures. OSHA's Seasonal Flu page also includes a link to additional information on planning for the

OSHA NEWS RELEASE FOR REGION 4 - Alabama, Florida, Georgia and Mississippi. OSHA has announced a new emphasis
program focused on reducing the number of needlestick and sharps injuries at ambulatory surgical care centers,
freestanding emergency care clinics and primary care medical clinics that provide acute, chronic and emergency
care on an as-needed or walk-in basis. OSHA will visit a sample of selected health-related facilities, to review
each establishment's processes and programs designed to protect workers from bloodborne hazards. To read more

REMEMBER TO FOLLOW CDC GUIDELINES
The Nevada State Board of Dental Examiners requires dentists to review and follow all of the CDC Guidelines
listed on the NSBDE web site. On April 30th the NSBDE adopted regulations to begin random inspections of
locations of dental treatment to ensure CDC compliance.
